The Sysibo? Female aliens with a matriarchal government, very environmentally conscious, disdain offworlders, always seeking information? Enjoy New Agey music?
Hyperspeed! One of my favorite older titles. It's still under copyright: Andy Hollis, the original designer, has the current rights. I really loved the variations of character in the races, and the simplified combat system worked well even for me. A shame Microprose never really put much weight behind advertising this title. EDIT: I do question Andy Hollis' wisdom in copyrighting his code under ESA, here. To be sure, it's his choice and nobody else's, and I have great respect for every game he's developed in the past. But my concern is that unless the code is actually available for download somewhere on the Web--and I don't see that it is--nobody is going to pay for it. Who has the capacity to run 5 1/2" disks these days? That's the only format in which the game was published, and that's the format you'll receive if you buy it, used. This seems self-defeating on his part, or at least, will give this wonderful older title no circulation. |

It must be Starflight (1 or 2).
