When I was young, way, way back, I had a game of which I couldn't even finish the first level. Now I think I'm ready to gie it another go, but I forgot the title. The game goes as follows:

It's a DOS game (doh), no fancy colors, hercules was sufficient to play.
You where a guy/human stylized figure and you were in a place (possibly a pyramid or s'thing of the like) where there are lots of platforms (no scrolling though) in this single room. When you stepped on a piece of a platform, it turned white. You had to cross ALL the platforms (did I already tell you there were LOTS?) before either finishing the game or go to the next level.

But ofcourse there's the obligatory trap; at a regular interval an arrow would be shot (left to right only) on the row where you stood. So it's a bit of an action/puzzle game. No other baddies, just the arrows. Enough for lots of frustrating hours....

Anyone knows what game I'm talking about and where to find it?

Nope, it had 'flat' graphics only no 3d/isometric anywhere. It looked something like this:



note the arrow nearly hitting me. <_<

Nobody? I was really fond of the game...I can build a remake, but I really want to know what would happen if I finished the level/game!

The closest I can suggest would be Pharoah's Tomb, but it didn't have the Q*Bert style gameplay. Arrows, yes. Pyramid, obviously. Crappy graphics, check.

The game I'm looking for looks (almost) exactly like I drew it.

I know exactly which game you mean. I played it too as a kid, completed lots of levels, but never got to the end. I thinks it was called 'caverns', but I'm not 100% sure. I didn't find anything online, but that's no surprise, with keywords like caverns, arrow and dos game. :wallbash:

Edit : Found it on XTC Abandonware, it's called "Caverns of Bob". Seems I wasn't far off, as the executable is actually called caverns.exe :brain:

Lode Runner had evil monks chasing you... I played the original version and sometimes on cold winter evenings still enjoy the Windows version...
