Hi
Ages ago, I saw a friend of mine playing a text-based (AFAIK) game which, (AFAIK, again) was about searching for shipwrecks and stuff. I never got into it at the time, but now I figured I could try it out. Unfortunately I can no longer recall the name of the game. It was not Sea Rogue, though.
If someone recognizes what game I'm talking about, please be kind and let me know... Also, if you have a suggestion, I'd be happy to know.

Since I don't know how to edit nor how to delete posts...
Sea Rogue is not even text-based.
Also, I'd like to change the topic, but i really dont know how...
sorry, i'm a total newbie on this stuff...

Wouldn't that be shipwreck for ZX Spectrum by Tartan software, released 1987?

Fits your description, you can play it on a PC with a ZX emulator.

It was really a simulation game. The one you linked seemed interesting, although it's very different genre/game.

also, the topic is mis-leading. I'd like to change it to 'please help me to find a game'...

OK, we add 'simulation' game, some more things you remember? More details would help you know .....
You said TXT based, total lack of graphics or some graphics....?

Similar to Sea Rogue, but text-based... if I recall right.

Well, it's really been a long time since I saw the game, so I cannot really be much more informative. AFAIK it totally lacked graphics. If I remember right, there was some kind of xy coordinate table (???) where the 'action' i.e. shipwreck hunting took place.
