Hmmmmm, could be. Don't know if there's any way to know for sure, though. You can put anything you want in your profile.

From what I gather, he is. At least on the real John Romero's forum, they're celebrating his birthday too. As far as I get, there's not reason not to concider him the real thing. In the end, he's on the net too, so why not on this site?

On the other hand, would he be so "offensive" about it? Somehow I doubt that (until that guy isn't a huge egomaniac - "Look at me, I'm a games-celebrety"... ). I mean, if -I- would be someone with a "reputation" of any kind, I surely wouldn't.
But I got an idea: Why not ask him directly? There's this nifty PM-thingy in this forum, you know? |

Well the thing that puzzles me is the fact that he obviously put some work into his profile - and he made only one post (commenting a game STRIFE and you don't even need to register to do that).
Why does a 1 post guy create a profile (with a picture and a link)? Seems a bit odd to start working on the details but not returning to the site  |

Maybe hes busy. Besides, creating a perfect profile is not that hard.
By the way, the email has been sented. I asked him to mail me the answer or come to this topic. |

I know it's not hard, but why do it, if you don't intend to stick around? It's not a great unsolved mystery, but it does seem a little unusual (at least to me). Anyway - hopefully he'll answer the e-mail and we'll know!

Yes.
The mystery needs an answer. Wacks? Why do you say so? Do you have something against J.Romero? |
