It is certainly based on the Monkey Island style, and plays almost exactly the same. The only difference is that it didn't have the Monkey Island writers. Someone posted that it was just like the humor in Monkey Island, but it wasn't. That was a game which was hilarious without resorting to being vulgar. There was no cursing in the Monkey Island games, no pimps or prostitutes either. Now I'm not saying that makes this game bad, just different. I suspect many fans of the MI series would be offended by parts of this game, and I certainly wouldn't let the youngsters play it. That's not to say this game is not funny, it certainly is; just on a more adult level. All that being said I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. It's nice to see that this style of gameplay has not completely disappeared.

I've got to admit I was surprised to discover a prostitute and her pimp among the characters of a game like this. But it's not really vulgar the way it's handled.... Remember the movie Irma La Deuce? It was about a prostitute and her pimp, but it was charmingly done and even children could watch it. And Zale's cursing is all in *7%$#*

Thumbs down

(May have SPOILER at the end of this post!)

k:
[color=purple][size=1]This was a good game--kind of reminded me of Monty Python humor (if you ever played their Meaning of Life Game, you'd know what I mean).

(Maybe spoiler ahead):

One part I got stuck on--I had a hard time finding the alley. If anyone is stuck on this part, the alley is on the left side of the club you can't enter. I'm not really giving away the answer because I think I would have gotten it on my own if I had known there was a way through there.
Also, when the authoress tells you in the read me, she means everybody!

For people out there that like AGS adventure games, there is a nice game called 5 Days A Stranger, a sort of horror story, that I found nice and worth the time playing it.

Yes that is a great game, I had a very enjoyable time playing it. There is also a sequel to it called 7 Days a Skeptic so if you have played 5 Days a Stranger you should check it out. It is deffinently better then the first. And it has an even more twisted story to it.
