Cartoons losing their touch?
I have to say that most of the so called cartoons that are shown on Cartoon Network and Disney Channel and similar channels aren't as good as the ones from the 90's and so on.
There are few shows however that are actually good to watch, like the Ben 10 franchise, really cool idea and they don't seem to run out of ideas for aliens, and Batman: The Brave and The Bold, a more lighthearted take on the Dark Knight, kinda like the first comics featuring Batman and that old tv show with Adam West with its really silly moments like when Batman has a classic bomb in his hands and he wants to get rid of it, but there are people all around him and he says "There are days when you just can't get rid of a bomb.". But don't you guys agree on that cartoons like Chowder and Flapjack are tasteless? I mean, they are almost as bad as Rocko's Modern Life. |

Someone is getting older it seems .....
Modern cartoons are crap anyway, but my grandkids don't agree with me, as long that it moves, makes weird noises, and above all, as long they have chips, candy and cola, all is swell for them.

Heh. I'd probably agree, if not for the fact I literally haven't watched TV in years.
All cartoons I watch now are downloaded from the net, and usually things I used to enjoy as a kid. (reminder to self: find the complete Pole Position series sometime next year) |

The only newish cartoon I ever watch is SpongeBob SquarePants, and that is cause it is to damn funny and my son loves it. Oh and Invader Zim and Samurai Jack, but I don't know how old they are, I only got to start watching them in the last few years.
Nothing beats some good old Transformers or G.I. Joe. |

Rocko's Modern Life was awesome and I question your taste levels.

I loved Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack and stuff like Evil Con Carne on Cartoon Network. But now I watch only animes. Of course nothing can replace good ol' Scooby Doo

Rocko's Modern Life (oh the innuendo), Ren and Stimpy and Invader Zim use to be the best cartoons ever.

What could be compared to them today? They dpn't make any like these anymore. It was a different time, a different mood. And honestly, it was the time of our youth, which is why we always think that cartoons of that time were better than today. It isn't exactly true however, cartoons are always cartoons. It's we who have changed. And that's how it's supposed to be. |

Older people will always despise younger people because they somehow think that younger people's taste is inferior comparted to theirs. That's pretty much it.
