It works on my XP machine if you use VDMSound with the settings described in the 'technical notes' at the bottom of the review:
(It also runs under DosBOX, but on my machine (which is a measly Celeron 1400) DosBOX is way to slow.) Quote:

It does work in DosBox, I checked that, but it is _very_ picky in regards to the soundcard settings. If the DB emulation and the setting do not match _exactly_, expect an immediate crash.
Ah, yes, you might also want to try out DosBox 0.61, sometimes games have issues with 0.63 that do not occur in 0.61. |

I never managed to run it in VDMSound, no matter how much I tried changing the settings. It does work very well in DOSbox 0.63, where I had no problems whatsoever. Unfortunately it seems it doesn't work for everybody (for reasons I can't figure out).

I am having problem with that game... when I opened the game and played it. The beginning movie runs just fine but when I came onto the main menu.. the pink line flashed on the montior and it went blank. I had to turn it off and back on and I am unable to play the game... any idea?

Are you running in XP (with/without VDMSound), DosBOX or plain DOS/win95/98?

Don't try playing stupid, it won't work.
The DosBox sound emulation can be changed in the DosBox.conf. Since you are deaf you can turn it off, completely. Then run the game's setup (in DosBox, mind you) and adjust the soundcard settings to match what you have in DosBox.conf. |

Hey, I am having a strange problem, hope someone can help. Everytime I try to run this game (in Dosbox .63) it runs tilted to the left. That is to say where the top of the screen normally points up, this one points left. The game runs fine, but it is very hard to play sideways. Any help would be wonderful. :help:
Win XP sp2 512 mb ram (every other game on this site runs great on DosBox) |
