No, Doom is not abandonware yet.
And it probably won't be for a long time. I'm trying to look for some decent FPS games to upload, since Abandonia has a serious lack of them.

I apoligise for my half minded questions but isn't doom 2 on here. Or is the first one so popular it isnt abandonware. Damn lawsuits.

Doom 2 is on here, but the download isn't.
It's like this - Doom is protected by id, as it's still going strong, to add to that, Doom is still being sold, like the Doom Ultimate Collection, because of that, we keep it legal and will keep ourselves from adding it to the site until it is completely certain that the game has no protection from anyone.

Nope.
Last I checked that game was actually under a very tight hold. Might be a long time before we actually see it on the abandonware scene.

How do you get this game to work on windows XP? i have the patch, but it keeps on telling me when i try to install it that i need 8 megs of ram, and i have well over a gig. as i said, i have the patch to fix that, but i dont know how to apply the patch. i am VERY confused and am becoming slightly miffed, LOL. HELP!!!!!!!!

Please help me!!!!!!!!!!! When i install the game using dosbox, it asks me what screen option to choose-ok thats an easy one But on the next screen it asks me to choose a destination drive and directory! When i go with what it says already it says that i am missing something called trilogy.ico Could someone just tell me how they installed the game with dosbox Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :help: |
