NTFS is tunable like that. As far as I can tell, FAT32 isn't. Both FAT16 and FAT32 have different cluster sizes based on how big a partition is being created. The ability to (within limits) choose your own cluster size is one of the BIG advantages of NTFS over FAT.

Therefor a 400 Mb or a 2Gb partition wouldn't matter on the cluster size.
NO. Check your facts.

First of All, I said With a DECENT partitioner!
Let's say:

Also try out ADVANCED settings, they give Lot's more options

....The Rest follows in the next post.

I hate that "You're limited to 4 images" issue.

.... Here's the rest

Damn 4 images per post issue.... <insert eXtremely angry smilie here>

And YES, FAT32 is Well capable of selecting Cluster sizes.
I Also has MORE options that NTFS. (and Fat16 nothing to choose out)

@ Dosraider:

Checked the facts. You're right. Lower sizes gives smaller Clusters

And if you all want to check out the facts for yourself, HERE is the VPC disk image to this partitioner.
It's officially free to use as long as you use it with Western Digital Hard Drives.
(Apparently it works pretty fine on VPC hard Disks as well. Gives no nag saying it couldn't find a WD drive)

I would think that a "(Web)Space Pirate" could find much better tools than WD .... that's pretty crappy ya know. :notrust:
Hint: GParted to name only one.....
Anyway, now you just need to find out when you should use FAT16/FAT32/NTFS.
From what partition size you d'better go NTFS, to what max partition size you d'better stay on FAT32 .... What's the partition size that begins to benefit from NTFS ... from what partition size on you gain in speed depending FAT32/NTFS ... security issues... OS dependance ...
...And not all FAT16/FAT32/NTFS are alike, many flavors....many 'types' for each.

and then there is Linux, Mac, bootmanagers ... you have still a long way to go, but you'll get there.

I'm fully aware of the existence of Gparted.
The problem with it. (yes, they exist) is that I need a 50Mb "busyness card" CD-R if I want to use it on My real machines.
(it would be a total waste if I used a normal 700Mb CD-R for it)

OK, I can use the ISO in VPC, but I also want a Hard copy of it as well.

AAArrrrggg Linux!! *Hides*
I've already proved to myself that I'm incompatible with Linux
(Although making Linux partitions with the Live CD installer were a breeze :amused: In comparison to the use of them. )

One I use is Paragon Partition Manager.
A full version of it came with one of the issues of a local PC magazine (I don't actually remember which one, but I'm sure I can find out if I dig up my archives a bit) a while ago, it turned out quite handy and so I ended up using it ever since.
