to get to safe mode keep pressing f8 on boot.
but i had such a problem, if restoration gets incomplete it won't work niether in safe mode

Do you know of any other way to restore my pc? Cause right now I get the sense that the System Restore is utter bullshit, although it worked for my dad once (sadly, he got it done for him, so no way am I getting advice on this).

system restore is not uber muck=P
and its unusual if something like incomplete restoration happens

if i were you i would reinstall operating system, it realy isn't that difficult and takes around 30-60 min to do

System Restore is dangerous. It can delete your files and ape up the directory structure to the way it was on the point of restore - on ALL drives.

I'm raising the white flag to this error. Thanks for the help and support, but I just couldn't get it working normally. I'm just glad that this only happens on Diablo1 and not any other games. Thanks.
