yeey i think it works now
at first it didn't show but i went specifically http://abandonia.com/files/newsposts...Newsshot_1.png and then nothing. but after i refreshed it it appeared. and now it's stuck in my browser cache so it works for me on front page now. maybe just hard-refresh will help. anyone who seen the empty page before- do ctrl-f5-ing and it will probably work now

Don't know what happened but I created a new one and it's working, the broken announcement node is still there and unpublished, you can try to find the solution

it's not a bug but aww, why can't we reply to trash can? i wanted to flame that random person who has the newest post in it. wouldn't be better if we were able to reply but post count disabled?

Check in 'user control panel' -> 'Edit options' if the 'Miscellaneous Options' are set as those:
 Scroll the whole way down to find ''Miscellaneous Options'' BTW, you'll find 'user control panel' when you're in a topic, on the bottom, a pulldown menu under 'forum jump'.
