I always bid, I've never had to pay more than ?10 (including shipping) for a game that I've wanted and I've gotten at least 20 titles that way.

I know that Wizardry 8 was rejected just recently because it's sold at Amazon.com, but you can just as well buy Wizardry 7 there (trough The Ultimate Wizardry Archives) or on eBay, but that doesn't seem to make non-abandonware yet as it's freely available to download on this site.
So I just would like to suggest to re-check the current status of Wizardry 8 and either confirm again with good arguments that it still can't be considered Abandonware, or give it a go in which case I can upload the images of the 3 CD's for the links to become availabe at the ISO Cellar. In this matter I would like to refer to this thread and especially this post.

I would go for not counting Amazon.com in general, I must say - but that's another issue because Wizardry 8 is only sold as used copy there. Even so I can't approve it since it still is supported.

The official word straight from Kosta is that any new copies sold on Amazon do count.
No change about used ones - if it's used, it's second-hand and doesn't count.

According to Wikipedia, Sir-Tech has disbanded.

As the company no longer exists, it is unable to continue providing actual support for the game. Patches and other downloads may still be available from the official site, but that's as far as it goes, and that site may go down any moment.

I rejected it because Amazon had one or more new copies, now only used ones.

It might get some new ones again in the future, though that doesn't mean yet that new copies Wizardry 8 are still produced, it might be just as well remainders of older stock of some shops.

Amazon and CDAccess are usually the last places where stocks of any old games might still linger.

The game isn't even that old, it came out in 2002, it's around five years age. I own a copy of it in its box, I bought it over the internet when it was still regularly being sold a year after it came out (2003).

No, that's true, it isn't that old. However the company that was behind it doesn't exist anymore, and it's already now quite rare to find somewhere for purchase, occasionally on Amazon and eBay from remainders of stock, for high prices. It's state now can pretty much be compared to that one of Wizardry 7, which can be downloaded here on the site, but which one is also still occasionally sold as a part of Wizardry Archives.
