Is there anywhere I can find a joystick fix for AOE. I've got a Logitech Wingman Attack 2 and 3 joystick, both won't calibrate properly in AOE, but will work fine in Aces of the Pacific

Here is a link for AOE joystick patch, http://www.patches-scrolls.de/, just follow the directions in readme file. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. This patch fixed the same problem for me.

If you are refering to Aces of the Pacific, return to Abandonia home page, and click on Abondonware link. Click on link, Home of The Underdogs, you will find it there.

Really glad I found this site. I have owned AOE and AOP since 1993 ( really glad to know DOS). These are two of my favorite flight sims, but not been able to use them with XP until DOSBox (CPU cycles at 12000).
Had trouble with joystick (fixed with patch), and sound (Copied ADL driver file from AOP to AOE). Ran install and chose Adlib/Soundblaster sound, fixed sound.
One other way to calibrate joystick, after you start mission, press F10 key, then calibrate. This seems to work best for me.

I just started playing aoe again using dosbox. Man, what a great game it was. Anyway, the full manual can be downloaded at:

ok, so i just found aoe and was able to load it up using DOSBox and was starting to get really excited about it. the whole aces collection was my favorite growing up starting with red baron and ending with aoe. the only problem with the game so far besides the fact that its playing in that really small DOSBox screen is that the game is running really really really slow. i mean, i tap on the keypad once and the next thing i know my whole plane is on its side. is their anything i can do to fix this???

note: i know jack about dos commands and had to use the abandonia tutorial to load the game up. i'm not so worried about the size of the screen but i just hope i can get the game to run at a normal speed since i haven't played it in 13 or so years.

Alt + Enter will set DOSBox to fullscreen mode, and the speed problem could be solved by increasing the number of cycles, as the review recommends. If you're unsure what this means, just take five minutes to read the readme file of DOSBox.
