Hi everyone,
I see that the french news are coming very slowly (last news from 11/05)... I propose to become a member of your french staff.... my idea would be : - to inform by a quick new of the last added games - to write 1 or 2 review per month (it's not a lot but it would be better than actually) Voil? :-)... ne prenez pas ce message trop mal, mais la partie francophone de votre site parrait au point mort... For your information, I'm 27 and I live in Belgium (so not a student for years :-), I will try to be serious and follow exactly what is my ideas. If you need some help for your french site, do not hesitate... My favourite "old games" are : XCOM : Ennemy unknow (and the followings Terror from the deep and Apocalyse) Transport Tycoon (just search for OpenTTD, the free version on the web, we will play hours and hours and hours...) USM2 or in french "Fooball Manager 98" (still a great game !) |

nice to offer your help with the site.
did you take a look at the who-translates-what page? I suggest you write a PM to "Eagle of Fire" (using par example this_link then I would suggest you tell him what news you would like to add and maybe a demo-translation?! After we all know you better we probably could open acces for the news updated on the site and bring you into the Translator subforum ... but let's begin with the basics ... good luck! k: |

You are asking where are the french writers well here they are. Well to be more correct here i am .
I've started translations last year and did about 100+ reviews. Since then i've been totaly overwhelmd by my studys. But now it is summer and things are cooling off a little so if you are really interested in the job maybe we could jump start the french site. |

Off course I am !!!
Well first I have to admit that I do not claim that I'm going to do hundred of reviews... here are my ideas : - one new a week (or every two weeks) covering in the great line the last added games - one full review per month (maybe two, I know it's not a lot) - french dedicated forum in 3 parts : the news section where every readers could comment the last news; a game section (with questions, requests, problems...) and a varia section to speak of anything else In french it gives (sorry if it is forbidden in the forum) : - 1 nouvelle chaque semaine reprenant de façon résumé les derniers jeux ajoutés sur le site - 1 test complet par mois (peut-?tre 2 en fonction de mes possibiltés - créer une partie francophone (les amateurs des abandonwares sont nombreux dans les pays francophones) divisé en 3 parties l'une consacrée au news (chacun pouvant émettre ses commentaires sur les news en question), l'une consacrée aux jeux (questions, requ?tes, probl?mes,...) et une section varia pour parler de tout et de rien... Voil?, if you want we could try for a month or two (I will maybe go on holidays during augustus)... I free for discussion but I'm ready to help you if you want it... |

Your French skill seems to be very good. You have my benediction.
However, I'm not the boss of the French community... I barely am a member myself, and I too barely have enough time to even think about it right now... |

Usualy we only translate reviews and we add a news citing the games we translated.
But your suggestions seem quite interesting but i doubt it will pass through Kosta. |
