Question Help: ROM's, Bin's, and P32's. Oh My

Help: Rom's Bin's and p32's, Oh My

I recently downloaded Shining Force, a great game for the Sega System, but when I 7-Ziped it I got either a ROM,BIn,ISO,or P32 file format. I've got no clue how to run those file formats. IS there an emulator or something. Also if someone can direct me to another download for that game, one without wierd file formats, I would be very thankful

hello, i think you're talking about Sega Genesis/MegaDrive, right?
There is some up-to-date emulator called REGEN.

BIN, ROM and ISO? Did you grab Shining Force for the Genesis, or Shining Force CD for the Sega CD? What's the file size of everything?

BIN and ISO are standard CD image formats. It is logical the other two must be related.

:amused: If the game was originally for a non-PC platform, it's logical you need an emulator to run it on a PC, isn't it?

I really have no clue as to whether its a Sega Genesis or a sega Cd, but I got it from [BEEEP]

I'm really not sure what to do.

Also if any of you have any links to emulators or alternate donwloads, I am rather clueless when it comes to the internet

Thanks

The fact that it's an ISO should alone indicate the game is for SEGA Mega CD. Which was only an add-on to SEGA Genesis (aka Mega Drive), so most Genesis/Mega Drive emulators should work with it.

You might try Kega Fusion or GENS32.
