I'm actually a huge fan of the Anything to Add.
To be less moron, and on topic, I'm thinking bout getting into some Godspeed you black emperor!, since I'm listening ever more to Sigur Ros and I've heard the two bands are somewhat related. |

GYBE are amazing.... the most disturbing music I've ever come across.
Sigur Ros are compared to them alot, due to their related musical styles. Godspeed is alot darker, though, as Sigur is very etheral sounding... |

For those who like Sigur rós, I reccomend a song called Dánarfregnir og jar?arfarir. As far as I know it's not on any of their cd's, but it's from the movie Englar Alheimsins (aka Angels of the Universe, brilliant movie!!!!).
That song is played on the national radio before the radio-guy reads up names of people who just died and upcoming funerals. Sigur rós made a cover of that song for that movie. I used to hate Sigur rós, but that was before I gave them a chance. I'm going to buy Ág?tis byrjun by them when i get money, I've heard that it's their best cd's. But the new one, Takk, gets great reviews it seems! Vi?rar vel til loftárása is one of the best songs i've EVER heard. I can't get enough of it. Never heard GYBE, not yet.. |

Samples of F#A#(infinity) Alot of sampling used, to weird effect http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/store...8255553-0197657 Samples of Yanqui U.X.O. Just some of their orchestral work. Utterly terrifying to listen to. A Silver Mount Zion is pretty close as well. |
