2x512 dual.

And just to brag, a 3.2ghz presscott (with a huge behind zalman 7700Cu cooler to cool the bastard - if I knew it generated that much heat ) with a x850 card. I think that's sufficient for using dosbox? :[img]http://www.abandonia.com/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' />

i remember when they announced IBM made a 1ghz chip work IN THE LAB!! LOL
the stuff of madman's dreams.
i have an athlon 1.1 ghz which is pretty good, but not powerful enough for some emulation... and a bit slower than id like for encoding movies etc.
i just cant bear to upgrade it... those things arent really big enough reasons.

I recently read about a guy that used a phase-change cooling system and oc'ed a pentium chip to 5 ghz.
btw, I have 640 ddr sdram-2100 166 max bus...blah
With my new mother-board(biostar m7ncd (25bucks!) ) I can support up to 400, so I'm looking to get a stick of crucial ram here in the next couple of weeks. The crappy thing is that for dual memory optimization it is usual (not always) that you have the same amount of ram in both chips. I was originally gonna just get a stick of expensive 512, but I know eventually I'd like to max out my board(2 gigs) and for this I t would be better to initially spring for the 1 gig stick off the bat. Looks like this "cheap" system option I chose is getting more expensive by the minute ).
