Hey all, i've noticed from hunting that there are a few DK fans who frequent these forums so hopefully you can help me out.

DK runs acceptably for me in single player under WinXP, but we love to multiplay it and it tends to be rather unstable in multiplayer. Sometimes it just has brief spasms of lag which we can deal with, but other times the entire game almost lags to a grinding halt and never comes back. We've even had the sidepanel vanish on us. Now as far as I know the only way to get it to multiplay in XP is to use the old Win98 MP fix, which we are. But does anyone know how to get it to work in MP reliably??? It'd be bloody great if someone did.

On a similar note I recently aquired what seems to be Deeper Dungeons and it is suffering the same problem as the unpatched original in MP. By this i'm referring to the "unable to initialise IPX" message. Is there a MP patch for DD??

On a differnet note can someone tell me how big complete CD images of DK Gold and DD should be cause i've been seeing some serious fluctuation in the file sizes i've found.

erm, no we can't if they're warez, since this isn't a warez site.

i think the first DK is abandoned though - don't we carry it?

My copy of DK isn't warez, I have the CD. Were you referring to my request regarding CD image sizes for DD and DK Gold?

If you can't supply that information, i'd still like to find out about the MP problem.

The Underdogs have released Dungeon Keeper 1 (+ expansion pack), so I think it's abandonware.

So are you allowed to tell me the sizes or not? I hadn't realised abandonware was such a grey area.

And does anyone know anything about the MP problems?
