I'll be naturally rooting for Brazil, as I'm Brazilian...
But if I have to pick a country, other than Brazil, I think I'll pick Portugal. |

I hope holland off course. Though our coach doesn't seem to use some of our best players because of personal reasons (can't think of other reasons) like van Bommel (plays for Barcelona) and Makaay (plays for Bayern Munchen)
Further we did qualify with impressive scores: All wins , twice a draw , 27 goals and only 3 against. Second, i'm for Australie because they're coached by Guus Hiddink, which is a hero third, Trinidad and Tobago (Also a dutch Coach, Leo Beenhakker) Fourth, South Korea (Because of the......dutch coach? ) |

While I'm supporting Poland 100% and would love to see them win, it's still very unlikely that they will manage to pull it off. The new generation hasn't yet reached the level of the likes of Deyna and Lato.
My guess for the winner is Germany. They've always been an excellent team - no matter how bad the individual players may have been - and now they've even got a guy who can make goals. Looks very promising. Besides, the German team was the one that triggered the football fever in little Timpsi 15 years ago.

candidates, candidates:
1-Argentina, yes the heart pulls. I donīt like the squad but the selector its qualificated. 2-Brasil, the best squad right now, just the best. 3-Germany, maybe not one of the best germans squad from the last cups but they are locals and are always lethal. 4-Holland and England, both of them are nice teams but both of them are contries that didnīt got titles at past and the history its always usefull to define who will won. Holland zero fifa cups, England robbed a fifa cup like Argentina in 1978, so they never winned. NOT candidates: -Italy, can make a good squad and put up some fight for the tittle but the italian selection isnīt as good as it can be and the teamīs tactics are to defensive to win a cup. -Spain, never winner like Holland and England but without a good squad like most of years -Greece, i loved when they win the UEFA cup but it will be harder in a Fifa cup with teams like Brasil that got defensive problems but that scores a min of two goal by game. And do u inmagine what would happens if Greece face Paraguay.... both team in their own camp waiting for the counterattack.....too boring. -Portugal, if Portugal wins the cup i will eat my computer. -Autralia, come on, Autralia can not win, they beated Uruguay in penalties...the players knows that they can not win.

A win through penalties is still a win. Just because it happened that way doesn't mean we don't have a chance, we don't have a chance cause we don't have as skilled a team as other countries.
But with the A league just starting up and its popularity so far Soccer might turn out to be a very popular sport here in Australia and I think if given time, maybe 30 or 40 years, we could have a team to rival all of you. |

Hey Holland won the european cup in '88 and has been finalists in teh world cup in 74 en 78. Wherre Germany stole our cup in 74 en we narrowly lost in 78 against argentina.
that said, I still don't think we will win anyway |
