If you just type LOL you get this:

LOL

But if you type :LOL: you get this:

it are 2 different emo's, you can choose it depending on the amount of laughing you have to do

well maybe I should remove the :[img]http://www.abandonia.com/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /> one... what 'd you think?

Any chance that we could have the still one as the second option (or the : L OL : )as sometimes the moving one comes across as corny if you add it to a pm. The exisiting double emoticon could be removed, I think, thanks, Braindead.

In other words, I'm voting for both LOL and the the still emoticon as a replacement for the double emoticon : L O L : please.

I just leave both in at the moment then, LOL to represent the laughing one, :LOL: for the still one, if you have any suggestion for a better acronym for the still LOL you're free to suggest to do so ;)

My point wasn't that there were 2 different emoticons, but rather that the second one showed up wrong:


Apparently though, this doesn't happen in Firefox (I use Opera :P), but try quoting my post and see for yourself. I think it's got something to do that :LOL: can create both the still and the animated emoticons all in one, which... well, confuses IPB
