EU politics .... Ah well, at least we didn't had a war in Western Europe in 60 years, so not all is bad.

It's a Windows update. I have opted it out in all my computers so far, including at work. I am the 1%. Actually it seems we can also prevent it from appearing completely depending on the regional settings or the Windows installation, because I can't seem to get it here on my home desktop even if I try.

That's you?! Man, there are a lot of unemployed (and possibly unemployable) people over here on this side of the pond who are quite angry with you for some reason. You might want to steer clear of Wall Street for a while.

That's what you get now here when installing Win7:
Also: in Win7 you simply can input 'firefox' in the explorer's adress bar to get connected to the download page, even without IE installed. Once again peeps, this whole thing is a political idiocracy.

It's almost as if there are people out there who aren't as familiar with the internet or their computer as we are.

Who would think Lulu, but they aren't really putting it there for that reason. It is there cause they don't want to get a big lawsuit again. Cause bundling IE with Windows is the evilist thing to do ever. I think someone who has made a calculator program should sue Microsoft over the bundled calculator. (That is a joke but is about the same level as what has happened to lead to this point that they need to do that up there.)

Yeah, this is all true I was just mildly poking at the assumption that everyone knows everything about their options all the time.

Yes, they're called "politicians", and are the ones in charge of regulating everything they know nothing about.
