I think a great help to a lot of users would be a feature, either on the game's page or post, suggesting how many cycles a game runs best on. I know it would help me out.

well i think there is a minimum amount of cycles on which the game runs best.

The problem is: can every pc reach that minimum.

I think this is a great idea as well. There are still a handful of games that even through here and some pointers I have not been able to get crackin. Would be an additional benefit if you knew someone used the same mobo, cpu or vid card as you in addition to specific settings used. I see so many people point out 'dosbox' over and over. Well yeah! no joke! I've been tinkering with 4 different methods mainly, and so far they've been about 65% successful in getting me on-track.

As already mentioned, the cycles goes with the power of the computer you work with. Creating a list of games with the recommended cycle would be useless unless you test is on several machine, which would get pretty tedious.

I say that if someone has problem with a game, they'll most likely post in the troubleshooting section first anyways.

Hi guys,
I'm a total newbie. After reading the guide and doing and trying what is says for hours, i still can't run this game called "BubbleBobble"

here's the problem, i followed every single instructions but i seem to stuck at this problem.
1. I place the file inside a folder called c:\oldgames
2. In the folder there's another file besides bubbleBooble called "snowbros".
3. I used "DosBox" as followed the instruction by typing mount c c:/oldgames (it works)
4. Then i typed in C: (works)

here's the problem,

5. i type cd bubble, they will say "Unable to change to: bubble" so i tried booble, bubble,bb and everything but it still can't work.

6. BUT, if i typed in cd snowbros, it works and changed to c:\SNOWBROS (But Snowbros don't have an .exe file and really give me a hard time. It have some weird file name called ch0,ch1,ch2,ch3 and sn5, sn6 but without any .exe file)

Can anyone help me?
thanks you.
