Remember that the different modes have different actions

You must be in the correct mode (walking in this case) k:

I found this game quite annoying actually. It took me about 15 minutes to get out of my cell at the start, and when you go to walk somewhere it is delayed which caused more problems trying to get out of my cell at the start and then running away from the guards. So I gave up and moved onto 5 Days A Stranger and then 7 Days A Skeptic, which are very very good point and click adventure games you should put them up on the site so everyone can play them they deffinently worth it although they are quite short.

P.S. I may be getting off the topic a bit, but I needed an excuse to to bring up these two games I'm sorry. But I absolutly love them.

the game is annoying to some extent, saving and loading are a pain in the a$$.
And besides that if you can't figure out what to do next, you can really go mad.

In general though, it is a great game .......... does anyone know what's happened to the music?

If you play the game in DosBox, there should be music. And it's much better in General Midi that Soundblaster's OPL2 or 3.

Well this is it. Great choice. Excelent!!!!
Saving sys is little disturbing but you'll survive. EXCELENT ONE!!!!

Tips: I remember that I had to play all over again when I finally get to the 3rd rock. Somewhere around some foretress there is a path but it is not very obvious. There was snow and ice all around. So don't just run away from that fortrees (I really explained, didn't I? ) but run around to find frozen lake. There you play flute if I remember corectly and you can fill empty dish or something with it. You need water for the 3rd stone and stone will crus the fortress. Not that fortress, the other one above and around the 3rd stone. When you read it like this it really makes sence
Just wait untill you begin to attack with pirates. It is a little funny, but there is actuallu a battle going on and you are just one among them

Why is this game so SLOOOOOOOW?

I've tried using CTRL+F11/12 to adjust the speed, but it doesn't make any difference. Anything else I need to change?
(I'm using DOSbox through D-Fend under Windows XP)

The game is slower than usual because it doesn't have a CD. This greatly decreases the speed. That doesn't bother me at least. Because I would rather play the game slow, than not being able to play it at all.

Hmm. So if I burnt all the game files to CD and ran it from there, would that make a difference?

If anything, everything on cd would make it slower with annoying spin-up/spin-down pauses. Having stuff on the hard drive always makes things faster.

I suspect you're using Dosbox .61 or lesser if you find it slow. The new Dosbox .62 makes leaps and bounds past its predecessors. It can play the most demanding of games at 10% CPU usage if you have a fast processor. Give it a download and pump your cycles to 15000.
