Hi

I am currently trying to run Ultima7 the Black Gate I keep getting the following
message.

Please remove your extended memory manager before running Ultima VII.

My current computer configuration is:

2.6 GHz Pentium 4
Win XP
1G ram

I am using DoxBox:

Can someone please help me I have no clue on how to remove the extended memory.

open dosbox.conf (is in the startmenu map dosbox)
look for ems=true
change it to ems=false
save the file
start dosbox

... or you can download exult - windows port of Ultima 7 (both parts) here , with it you could run ultima in window ,use different graphic filters , change screen resolution without and have no problems with setting it up etc. very useful program .
