If you like another setting, try Harbinger.
It's a nice science-fiction story. |

You can also try Knightshift.
But in my opinion none of these games can withstand Diablo. |

I tried Harbinger's demo once. It's okay, the characters are a bit tiny (not sure if I can change the setting to make them bigger), but I could not find the game in local stores, and I can't order anything online at this moment.
Never heard of Knightshift. I'll check that later. Thanks. I've tried Eidos' Revenant demo, and Emurasoft's Shadowflare Episode 1. Again, both are okay in my opinion. The problem is just finding them locally. I found this one: Fate According to a few review I read, it is quite good, but it is published by WildTangent, which some people consider as including spyware in the application, so I'm not sure I would want to try it. I've also heard about their strict unlock policy for those who actually buy the game. |

If you want to try some futuristic hack'n'slash games you should play Space Hack. It's a rather new game, but it has small system requierments. You can also try Zax: The Alien Huner, it's also a nice game.
And I hope that Hellgate will rock! |

Zax really is a nice game. But it hasn't got the role-playing character of Diablo. The story is quite cooooool with a nice sense of humour.

I tried Revenant once, but I didn't like it. The graphics are strange. And the story is quite weird.

I got Sacred, but the game runs too slow on my old machines, so it is on my pending game box right now. I also have tried Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, but their incredibly large size of save game files rather put me off.

To me Darkstone is really a sorry excuse for a Diablo-clone. All the more disapointing for me because Delphine is a french company and my country (which i'm always OK to feel proud of, when the occasion arises) doesn't make many games. Or rather not many good ones. Darkstone is an excellent exemple. After playing it for a couple of hours i was so bored. The only cool feature is the sort of built-in music video you get when you give a gold piece to the gipsy. Always a wise move that ! :bye:
