Thank you......Do I have to have the CD for the full version? I lent it to someone years ago and it was never returned. However, I am happy to be able to play the game without the voice.

Thanks again for you help, however, I need your help again. I am facing Halpo's double, and I figured it out that I needed to reverse a spell (switching the left and right pieces), but none of the spells I have can be reversed. So I checked your walkthrough and discovered that I missed the self immolation spell. Would you let me know where I should have learned it, please?

Aha...

Remember the world with all the zombies and the underground river (I think it's the 3rd world).
At one point you are talking to a man, who's investegating the spell of illusion. You switch your body with the dog and discover an underground cave where the people are playing some game with runes. In that cave you'll find the spell (after the spell of illusion is liften go into the cave (there should be an animation, but our version doesn't have one; you should still get the spell).

Thanks for answering so quickly. However,I had already been in the hidden cave, I think that's where I got the robe from. I went back in, but still did not get the spell. I know it's something 'staring at me, in the face". I checked the spell book, but still have had no luck.

Have you checked the spells? The spell should be there!!!

Save the game and try every spell on yourself. The one that will insinerate you to ashes is the right one. Then remember that spell and exchange the left and the right rune.

I couldn't find it amongst the spells...I went back to where I had the spell, and it looks as if I somehow lost the spell whilst saving and restoring games. I am now going to have to start from where I had the spell and re-solve from there.

I'm really thrilled that I've stumbled on this great site. Now all I need is for it to become legal to upload "Ultima Underworld II" (or maybe "Discworld II", which I admit that I haven't checked for yet). Alternatively, the developers could just take the hint and re-release some of these games that have desperate gamers shelling out hundreds of dollars on eBay. Or maybe they could just all sell their licenses to Game Quest Direct, who is apparently in the process of making a living off such re-releases. C'mon, GQD: "Ultima Underworld II"! I'm not getting any younger...
