Default Out of Memory Error with Ancient Art of War in the Skies

I've got a problem with The Ancient Art of War in the Skies:
The game is running fine in DOSBox 0.72, except for the in-game sequence where you have to bomb enemy sites. Whenever that sequence is launched, an error message "Not enough memory. Press any key..." is displayed and the game quits directly to DOS prompt.

Changing the extended memory value setting above or below 16MB in DOSBox config does not help, also enabling or disabling EMS and/or XMS support seems to have no effect. According to MEM command, I've got 634KB conventional memory available.

Someone got a clue on this error?

Tried loadfix before launching the game?

Can help avoid that kind of errors on some games.

Seems it's reported as 'support broken' in ver 0.70.
No update yet for 0.72.
Also seems been working in ver 0.58

Maybe you should try an older version of dosbox?
They can be installed besides the latest version without interfering with each other.
BTW, if you try that, do NOT copy dosboxconfig cross versions, that won't work.

Maybe it's enough to get you through that specific game sequence.....?

That's exactly the info I was looking for. I will try the older version, when I'm at home. Thanks, dosraider!

Should you still have problems: Could you upload a savegame just before the crash?
Would do some testrun when I have some free time......

Hmm.. DOSBox 0.58 shows the same issue. It happens every time, when you start a bombardment, so it's possibly not connected to my current campaign.
However, thanks for your help.

Anticipation of EoF activated. Closing thread because of necroposting.
