I can fully understand why you'd favor Blood over Quake, but allow me to explain my reasoning. Quake was the first PC game I ever played, when I was 10 years old (I got a late start), and I played through it with my best friend. He was the gunner, and I moved around and jumped, together we went through those eerie and disturbing worlds full of twisted freaks only out to eviscerate us...ah, the memories...
I guess it's just that Quake holds a higher emotional value with me, so that's why it's my favorite...it helps that the game is perfect, too.

Nice review. The only reason that I prefer qukae over blood as that I hadthe full version of quake but only a demo of blood. Meaning I only got to play through one fully natrualy makeing me think that one was better.

Naturally...also, the last two chapters in Quake were designed absolutely perfectly, I defy anyone to play those chapters and not be riveted.

I would play The Chosen, but it hasn't received very good reviews, and my computer is too old to get it to work...

Nice review, Blood is a special game. While I'm not a fan of horror movies I too enjoyed those fun moments and references to horror classics. I remember I used to play Blood multiplayer, especially that Tower map, it was fast-paced deathmatch and also great fun. Although we didn't use staff as it was extremely overpowered.

Is there a way to get mouse support for this game? (You know, like the moder-day FPS where you can move your POV with just your mouse?)

I believe there is a "mouse look" key that is pre-set into the control scheme. Look it up in the Options menu under 'Customize Controls'.
