When I run Zombie Wars on XP, all I get is some music playing and a black screen. It worked on Win98 but not on XP! I've tried the Compatability settings and still the same.... Is there a patch or something? My version number I THINK is : v1.0R. I got the game on a CD with other games on it.

Unfortunately, I have encountered that problem myself.
ZW will not run on Windows XP, never-ever.

One of reasons why my Sempron 2500+ machine has a 2.1 GB HDD inside the case, normally unconnected.
Simple unconnecting of other drives (except DVD) and connecting that one instead, powering the machine... one Windows 98 copy booting right up, so that I can play all old games that didn't work right on XP - Zombie Wars, Chaos Gate and Mechwarrior 3 in particular.

I advise you to do the same, these HDD's are dirt cheap nowadays.
