Has anybody had any luck getting this to work? I can't get passed the initial CD check, which it fails on. Neither the included patch, nor any other NoCD fix seems to work on this either.

Yes, no problems whatsoever. The CD image + crack is OK.
THX again Ermuli. It runs fine on a P2/W98SE/CRT mon, CD crack works OK. However, on any modern OS I would strongely advise to run that ol'game in VPC2007+W98(SE) as the game will only run in 16bit color dept and will refuse to run in anything higher, also it requires DX6. To conclude: If you still have some ol'P1 or P2 no problem. (MMX CPU required!) Anything more recent: VPC2007: strongely advised. <-click <-click
