Correct me if I'm wrong:Your father had a friend who died.Then you received a mail from a person who is somekind a copy of yours missing friend and you don't know what to do?

My father was contacted by a person asking him if he is perhaps related.
This person died recently. Today I get an email from the exact same person asking me the exact same question he asked my father. The fact that his grandfather bears about the same name and was born on 19th of april (1900) is just more strange coincidence I suppose. My grandfather was born the 20th of april. So if this (supposedly dead) person is a member of my family... my family sure has some strange connection to the 19th/20th of april and the name Michael

Ask him further out, but be careful in case that's some scam. Don't sign anything or agree to something before it's not clear what's going on.

Its not a scam.
i've researched this guy. he's the same guy as the one my dad talked to. i've crosschecked his address, he is (or was) a doctor with some renown and has written quite a few medical reports. His name has also surfaced on numerous sites of finding lost relatives and family trees. My dad used to write letters with him, he really is a doctor. Its just... well the newspaper said he's dead! If it is a prank its one that has been in the making since at least januari 5 of 1998 (thats the earliest entry I found of him online) If you are trying to scam a dollar off of each person in the world whose name is Zymler os Symler you'll be lucked if you get 6 bucks
