Listening to the album "Nursery Cryme" from Genesis atm.
Trespass is my favorite from the band so far, but apparently most people prefer their later albums, so I thought I chronologically work my way through their discography.
The album is good, but I don't enjoy it as much as Trespass so far. While the latter has songs that have a very natural flow, building up and cooling down again, Nursery Cryme sounds slightly overblown and forced at times. You can feel that they tried to craft the music in a more complex manner, that they aimed higher. The songs are bit more varied than on the previous album, but therefore the album doesn't feel as cohesive.

I can hear why punk was born while listening to this album.

Oh my, just downloaded the Delighted People EP from Sufjan Stevens today and been listening to it ever since, especially to the damn amazing title track, again and again and again. Can't get enough of it. It blows my mind, really.
Have a listen for yourself, though you may need a few times to fully digest it.
