Well, my attention was turned to thread just at it was mentioned at the main page. But I
think it´s a really good idea. Next week I´d like to participate, hehe. By the way: are there only updates like this the next weeks. Or will there be "new" oldies updated, too? |

OK - so I guess we should go on.
Please, close this topic (the poll has been done and the week is over). A new topic will be opened with the games for the next week. |

Bah, Uncharted Waters pwns all :P
And incidentally, I'm for this thread staying open, so the games can be discussed. |

Pirates! Gold isn't a overlooked gem.
It actually sold well, and it's practically noticed by nearly everyone who's been around that time. Perhaps next time there should be a better selection of games to choose from.

Maybe the title of this is misleading. Perhaps it could be renamed to Game of the Week or something. Overlooked Gem implies that the game wasn't appreciated. However even though many know these games well, there are some of us who don't and find it interesting and helpful to know which are more popular and why. I'd like every game to be included in a category...not just the least popular ones. In fact, I'd like to know which ones are the most enjoyed and admired. This is the main reason why I think Overlooked Gem isn't a great title for this.
Sebatianos, I really appreciate the work and thought you've put into this concept. It's something to look forward to on Sundays |

Thank you for the kind words (as usual) Wendy.
The name has nothing to do with the games being overlooked at the time they were made, it's about the great games on our site, that would deserve a bit more attention. It's about the games that were added to the site, but people seem to forget we have them. My initial preposal was The Game of the Week, still that would cause some confusion as well (that could mean the most popular game that was added in the past week...). @Havell - I like the idea of games being discused, but the next Overlooked Gem topic has already been opened (for this weeks votes) and it would become very confusing if so many threads with the same name are open and actively discused). This is something I really haven't thought about... If this idea is to live, then maybe it should get a seperate subforum (that's probably way to much to ask for), or only the current poll should be a sticky and the rest of them may emerge or be forgoten with time... |
