Hello this is the first time i ever been on this site. I downloaded X-Com Apocalypse and try to run it on VDMSound. The intro video works fine but after that all the images are disorted so bad that I can't even tell what it is and all I see is a bunch of colors. What could be the problem? Please reply Thank You

Try Dosbox and see if it runs better or else just use it without anything

Did you run VDMSound through the command line or just tried to run X:A as a normal Windows program after you have installed VDMS?

As already mentioned above, I would try using dosbox at first...

Hummm...
Altough it was discussed for UFO 1, might work in 3 as well.
Enter Control Panel and the properties for DirectX. Disable DirectDraw. See if the game runs correctly after doing that.
Note that you'll have to enable DirectDraw afterwards.

I'd want to point out that Apocalypse is a tricky game to run on XP. I tryied all I could possibly do on this computer, and it never worked. And I really tryied everything to my gaming knowledge.

Still, on another XP machine, the game ran like a charm without any other kind of fixes... Go figure.

I have it on CD and run it with no problems in DOSBox IIRC.
