I don't know for sure, but I've played that game (or a version of it) and I'm fairly sure that it's Inner Space, as Toxik said before.

No, it's none of the Tex Murphy games. The lawyer is female.
But please, play Tex Murphy again if you want to. EDIT - The owner of the factory has died, but she has a missing heir. EDIT 2 - Finding this missing heir is a big part of the game.
