I can't install the game.
I click on the install button on the autorun, but nothing happens at all.
My computer is a Windows Vista Ultimate and I have been able to play older games then this one without much of a problem.

That doesn't guarantee this one will work. Each game is different.
Check the reply to your thread in Troubleshooting. Let's try to get this thing working.

That game was already troublesome under XP ......
In Vista (and Win7): run in VPC2007+W98(SE).

I'm able to run the game just fine under Windows 7 Pro SP1 in Software mode with maximum settings. However, I needed to download and add tsd32.dll to the game directory, and installing the 1.1 patch required me to do the following:
  1. Copy the "Vigilance" folder to a Windows XP virtual machine.
  2. Install the 1.1 patch. You'll need to point the installer to the main game executable, and you may need to install it twice (in spite of what the patch's readme says.)
  3. Copy the "Vigilance" folder on the virtual machine back to the host OS.
The installer on the CD-ROM, which is _ISDEL.EXE, not Install.exe, and the main game executable both need to have Windows 95 compatibly set and run as an administrator.

Thanks, Expack!
I didn't think of looking at the _ISDEL.EXE on the disc, I dismissed it as something that would be used during installation and not as the installation program itself.
