Heh that is funny. I saw one animation movie FF (is this the one you are talking about?) and I liked it. Had some gaps in it but definetely watchable movie. Don't know how close it is with the games since I have never played any of them.

What about XCom? The only problem is that for some reason I think of the new(ish) movie SWAT which I didn't exactly liked a lot.

I guess one of the easiest games to make into a film would be Republic Revolution. I haven't played it but I know almost everything about it since I read several good reviews. :-)

The doom movie got the axe? Never heard of it. I thought they were very close to finishing it.

Well I played republic: The revolution and I must say it plays like a movie, with camera angles and such. For example when you send serveral people out to convince people to support you, one of the men knocks on the door, then it skips to another one of your guys where the door opens and so it goes back and forth like some sort of movie.
of coarse after a while the game gets quite dull since you constantly have to do the same things and I never figured out how the conversation mini-game goes.
Anyway, I don't think it would be a very interesting movie though.

Doom3 (its happening),
Diablo 1 and 2 (Wesley Snipes as the Sorcerer LOL ),
Splinter Cell (good one),
Painkiller (fit to be)...

I think that Enclosure could become a good movie.

And I'd be very curious toward a movie based on Tetris.

Well, there have already been quite a number of films based on Space Invaders...

Now, there's an idea. If done properly, Fallout would make a truly excellent movie. As long as it isn't done by Kevin Costner. He seems to like to make crappy post-apoc movies.

Yeah, Waterworld, but that isn't the worst. Have you seen The Postman? It's definitely one of the worst high budget movies I've ever seen. An army of postal workers take over a post-apoc world. I mean, how the hell do you come up with a story that crappy?

Luckily, I think that one pretty much ruined Kevin Costner, meaning he had to stop his quest of flooding the world in crappy post-apoc movies.

Turn video games into movies, yeah I'm all for it!

Super Mario Brothers: haven't seen it but I've heard it's quite good.

Mario Teaches Typing: I think this one has lots of potential.

Seriously though, I think "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" would be excellent if they can find a young Harrison Ford clone (with the same or more acting capabilities).

And while "Tie Fighter" is also based on the Star Wars universe, I still think it's mega-cool to have film that is set during the same time as the Original Trilogy, featuring the bad guys.
