What really sucks is that CSR are -required- to act that way. They cannot deviate from that kind of behaviour, or be fired.

EDIT: Wow, I'm tired to the point where I put "CPR" in the title.

I wanted to punch the guy in the face; that's like when our e-mail account was down because we needed to install new software, and the guy said he would e-mail me the link and hung up...I sat for a few seconds, stunned by the stupidity of the guy helping me.

Yeah, I have expirience with those kind of operators...

Once I called my ISP because first connection was braking every 5 minutes and then finnaly I wasn't able to connect at all. So, I call ISP's customer service and explain everything using TECHNICAL TERMS (told him about how packages are sent form my computer but I don't recive any). So, the guy says to me that I need to reinstall drivers (which is absolutely stupid action in my opinion) using, qouting!, "that thing there on the wodden CD I got where it says "Remove T-Com MaxADSL, and run it 2-3 times" !!!"

I mean, for Gods sake! "That thing"? "Wooden CD"? (the cd label looks like a piece of wood). Couldn't he just say "Setup file" and "Installation CD"? And 2-3 times???

So, ok I decide to listen to his advice just to prove him wrong (and have an excuse to come and talk to him... in person... with a shotgun). I start "that thing", it allmost messes up my Windows installation, I remove and install drivers manualy... and it works! For a day.

Next day I called them again, asked to give me SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WTF IS HE TALKING ABOUT on the phone, and finally some guy asks me where I'm from and finds out that it's because they are fixing something over there. So driver reinstallation was a lucky shot! Jeez!

Funny, I had no conflict cancling my AOL account. Actually, they extended my account for 3 months before I finally got them to cancel.

But then again, I was just mooching off their free trial.

Yeesh. Listening to the guy's file, he was a jerk. He wasn't listening, he was cutting the CS guy off. Now, honestly I don't love CS phone guys any more than anyone else but cut the guy some slack, seriously. If your account shows you're using it then you need to clear that up, not just go, "Nuh-hu". Sorry, but I'm going to side with the CS guy here and say that guy need to take the plug out of his tail pipe and work with the man so he can do his job.

I fully agree... i think the guy at the Call-Center was displaying ALOT of patience, more then normaly required to get a job like that, and he did his job. He had to clear up the issue with the caller stating he isn't using the account, but it shows alot of activity when he enters the customers entry in the DB.

It's more the issue; Why wasn't the the guy called blacklisted and labeld annoying moron?

What's even funnier is he's got a web site to brag about it! I mean if you're a moron, that's fine. If you're standing infront of the world and screaming at the top of your lungs that you're a moron... there's not a word to describe that.

Granted the guy thinks he's justified. But if you're going to make a website, scrutinized by the general public, why wouldn't you take a bit more care and say, "How is this going to make me look?" There's another human being involved here, so your chances of looking like the bad guy are pretty much 50/50.

Apparently, the tech support sometimes hires grossly uneducated people.
