Editing levels in Avish: Searching For The Exit
Well, I was playing that painfully hard game, when I realized that sinci the map was made up of simple tiles, I might be able to modify the levels, or even make my own! So I lurked around the Avish folder, and realized that the levels are all in resource.dat, because I found their name.
So far, it would seem that changing the names of the levels breaks the DAT file. Dang, so does just changing the DAT at all. Anyone know of a way around data checks? I shall post more discovery as I learn more about the mapping. Last edited by Batmanifestdestiny; 05-06-2009 at 01:52 PM. |

There's probably a checksum hidden somewhere.
