What Soundcard do you think is the best to use in a pure DOS machine?

Soundblaster Pro, because it's compatible, I'm not sure about AWE32...

I have used AWE32 in a DOS machine and it was the best there was at the time. It has a great MIDI chip, something PRO does not have. Other then the MIDI chip it is the same as PRO however.

I first had the simple SB then the SB16 and then the über-cool AWE32. That was sound!

never tried the AWE 32.
