Well I'm not blaming the parents.

You must realise that this girl had a 7 year older boyfriend before and that idn't work out. It's still not certain that this was the real reason why she killed herself.
They were trying to give her things (but I guess not enough attention).
I'm not a parent yet, but I guess I'll try and bring my children up the best I can (but I'm sure I'll make a few mistakes as well).

I really doubt her parents wanted anything bad... Most of the times parents are simply just concerned and are either copying the patterns they got from the times when they were children, or are trying to repair some mistakes that don't need to be fixed, but make even bigger mistakes happen in the process.

Don't judge them harshly. I am sure they did the best they could.

Make the best to your children, it´s a good thing, but you need love your children, because the life is in the heart of the new generation, the future of the world is in the little babies, think in this. :bye:

Well, we weren't that close in the last year, mainly when I was younger.. He was too ill in the past years, couldn't really talk.. Just lay in bed doing nothing, too sick to have visitors. My sister never got to know him, she's 9.
But thank you, Pharaoh!

my condolence, puffin!
if i were you, i'd go to the funeral...it's a good way to say goodbye to somebody you
loved, after he's passed away, imo.

on one hand i'm not very in to this ceremonial stuff itself, and on the other hand
i dislike the atmosphere at a burial (as most probably all people do) - everybody
is crying, all wearing black, and stuff.

anyway, one should realize that last chance of "being near" to the one you've
lost.

but of course that's just my personal view of these things...

I don't like funerals.
Actually, I don't like churches in general.
I've only been to one funeral, that was when my grandfather died. I've known a lot (too many) people who have died, both relatives and people I know from elsewhere (especially from where I used to work, at a nursing home), but didn't go to any of the funerals then. Don't know why... Just can't stand them.
I've been asked to play at funerals, both clarinet and singing, but I never did it.
