Dig Dug is one of my favorite games of all time. Although this CGA version of it does look like crap.

I remember that I played this one (DIG DUG) in the late 1980s on an ATARI 2600 and that enjoyed it very much.

I still own the cartridge too... :-)

At least. The most recent remake I was aware of was "Dig Dig Deeper", and kept pretty faithful to the original while adding some nice elements, as well as being easy enough for my youngest brother to almost finish completely.

I don't understand the webmasters' knocking of this game?

We had over 1200 games out in amusement centres across Central & Northern Ontario (Canada) in the 80's and 90's. Dig Dug was a slightly above average earner of which we had 9 in the end. It, like Ms Pacman and others were considered "chic games", very popular with females. Our most popular version was cocktail table models.
