Default Can't Figure Out How To Run Iso/disc Via D-Fend Reloaded

I have two games: Carmen Sandiego Word Detective and Where In the USA is Carmen Sandiego (1996 edition). They don't run at all on Windows 7; they won't even install. Someone told me to use D-Fend reloaded, but I can't figure out how to make it work. At all. I looked at the FAQ, but I didn't understand the instructions. I need someone to take me step by step through this so I don't screw up.

I've been working on this for two days, and I'm in tears because I'm so frustrated. It shouldn't be this hard to install and run a game that's 16 years old. Please help me, anyone.

And that, dear friends, is why teaching people to use frontends instead of helping them actually learn DOSBox is not a good idea.

A solution here would be not using D-Fend but running plain DOSBox and mounting the ISO with the IMGMOUNT command. Start at the beginner's guide and then read up on IMGMOUNT. It looks more difficult than it actually is.
