Heh, no bother at all.
I just found one of the best RPGs possible. I'm amazed no one mentioned Betrayal at Krondor. If you want a really good experience go for that, It's one of the all time best RPGs.

Just browsing the RPG section here, of those I know;
Ancient Evil. Didn't play it but my brother did. If you are looking for a very tough puzzle/action/rpg game, try this one. The tough part is usually finding the exit. Dink SmallWood is a somewhat dull but decent game. Hardly an RPG tough, more like an action game. It's also fairly decent so graphics are somewhat good. Dungeon Master, a true classic. Never really played it tough so I can't really comment. Eye of the Beholder Serie. Good hack and slash game that I remember playing when I was young. Too bad only the third one is available on this site. Those I don't really know about but heard tons about them (and are available here); Albion, Betrayal at Krondor, Feary Tale Adventure, Ishar Serie, Menzoberanzan, Realm of Arkania - Blade of Destiny, Super Hero League of Hoboken, The Elder Scrolls Arena, World of Xeen. As you can see, that's quite a bunch of games to try. |

And, might I add that Anvil of Dawn, and Lands of Lore are excellent excellent RPGS if you enjoy the 1st person Dungeon Master'esque feel. |

Mmm...you have a point there...System Shock 1 would be good then, but it's hard to find, and harder to run....Well, the only thing I can suggest is to scan around in HOTU if you can't find anything you like here.

I recommend Castle of the Winds. It's a roguelike, similar to Diablo, with pretty basic graphics but very fun to play.

Try Realms of Arcania I to III.
They are fantastic RPGs. Very (perhaps a little too) detailed and complex but extremely fascinating. |
