I was wondering, do you / how do you celebrate christmas? What do you eat, and stuff..

Tomorrow, the 23rd, we have ?orláksmessa. That's like the day of some saint called ?orlákur. Then we eat THIS fish that I believe is called Skate in english.
In my dad's family, we take turns on throwing "parties". This year my family offers dad's sister and her family, and my grandmother, for skate dinner. But I'm working so I'll miss it

The 24th we celebrate the actual christmas. We eat dinner at 18, and then we open the presents in the evening.
The 25th is also holy, usually my family goes to dinner to my grandmother on that day, in the noon. The rest we eat candy, and stuff.
The 26th is semy-holy. We're just lying on the sofa doing nothing, watching tv, eating candy and leftovers. But I'm working on the 26th, so not much relaxing for me

So... How are your christmas?

That's interesting, for us the main date is the 25th, we leave stocking on our beds or by the fireplace at night on the 24th and go to sleep, while we're alsleep Santa comes down the chimney and fills them with presents.

We have a huge dinner the 24th and exchange presents with other ppl from the family. Morning of 25th we put/find presents under the christmas tree and open them. Pass the afternoon resting and digesting, go out the night to exchange presents with friends and party - because it's always time to celebrate something!

Well I obviously don't celebrate it.
However my family does take advantage of the big meals and go eat a big christmas-meal at a restaurant.
Main dish is usually stuffed pheasant with crandberry sauce

We cook meals without meat and oil stuff. Only odd numbers. From 3 to 13. This happens on 24th December when we celebrate Holy Eve. at about 20 PM we get our presents. Some families take their presents on 25th. Thats all

Well, my sister's family and we (my mom and me) gather together in their flat, eat different things together (my mom and my sister cook together then - they're the greatest in that ), then on 25th my nephews get the gifts and during all the time from 24th to 26th we're just celebrating in any way - talking, discussing, eating, watching TV and videos and all. Friends from us come there too, so it's almost a small party then.
But this time I'll spend these two days in little different way...

Mine's kinda like your's FreeFreddy. Except it's pretty much everyone on my mom's side of the family. Especially on the 25th, it's a huge tradition for everyone to get together on that day.
