William Shatners TekWar
Hey all,
I was thinking the other day of a game I used to play, okay that sounds like a start of a poem!! Well, it was a first person shooter - ala dukenukem, doom style - but with more realism. I was young when i played it so my memory is totally bad. I remember being able to hide the gun when in play, and that a lot of the action was set in a virtual city, with lots of public people etc. The best bits were boats you could even jump onto. It started in an underground station. COULD have been set slightly in the future? Any ideas? Thanks Lechuck

The caveman one might have been prehistorik and that's available on this site. I think that's the one you're talking about. The sequel is there too.

My memory is a bit hazy, but it could have been Tekwar.

It must be TekWar. It's based on Duke Nukem3D's BUILD engine. Tekwar received almost unanimously terrible reviews somehow. I remember trying the beta demo wayyyyy back in the day, and thinking it was awesome but very shoddy.

Ah, I lluuuvv TekWar! (William Shatner's TekWar, if I'm not mistaken).
I'll have to add that (the demo, that is) to my site (see below :whistle. I just added Duke 3D too (shareware), if anyone wants. P.S Admins, sorry for the plug? |

Yes!!!! Tekwar was the one, wouldn't have known if it weren't for the screen shots - thanks Wired. So whats its status, is it freeware yet? Big red racer was the racing game - i loved the two player option. The caveman one still unsure about but I'll check out the one on the site to check.
Thanks all. Lechuck
