got a problem trying to run the game.. says it needs the cd (obviously I don't have it.. i downloaded it) it says to check the GAMEDATA path in the LEGEND.INI file. I set up my DOSbox like it says in your tutorial.. help!

Haha, I found a little developer notice in of the files (HOTU-version only). In the end of the movie where the Zinger is flying around in the elven ship (Zinger.fli) there's a notice from the guy who made the movie. The notice is outside the actual animation-area so you could only read it from an external player (it worked in Media Player Classic).

Help if possible someone....

I cant get the journal OUT of the secret compartment
after solving the clock problem, that was tricky by the way.
I got the secret compartment to open, but cant get INTO it to see the
journal or get it out, i tried all the commands and all i can get to
is the text message describing the compartment and saying
that in there you see a journal.

can anyone help ?? i went on with the game anyway, but dont
want to miss the hints in the journal

also by the way, are four pipe sections really enough to fix
the leaky pipe, I have just started working with the problem,
but just wanted to check to see if maybe i missed somepieces.
thsi is a good game and i am enjoying it.

very much appreciate the new games being posted to
replace the slaughter of the sierra, etc. games a whilel ago.

Well when that brick in the fireplace opens you can pick up the little notebook (it may even say diary - I'm not sure). You need it only to answer some questions really, but you might wanna read through it.

And you need all 5 pieces of the pipe (you collect one when you enter the tunnels, the second one is used as the candle holder, the third is in the repair box, the fourth is in the grumpy old dwarf's hands and the fifth one is in the box on the ship - where you found the jewlery). You'll also need a cork!

Enjoy the game - and don't hesitate to ask if you're ever stuck!

Thank you Sebastian, vey much appreciated. I did go back and
look and found another piece of pipe under the candel in
that fellow's room just to the west, and that did the trick, that
was a fun puzzle. Thanks re the book in the hidden receptical,
I will try to see if i can get it out, i just could not somehow get
the game to let me select the book to take it....but i will try again....
thanks so much for the help, it is really nice and helps keep the
frustration level DOWN.....for even exploring games that are
new to me, after learning many others, i still get stuck....and
sometimes the odd answers are quite out there in terms of
thinking, I wonder sometimes what the game designers were
thinking of......or what other world they were in...but that
is all part of the fun thanks again for this great game, i had
seen notice of it a while ago, even got a copy of it last year or the
year before, but the name scared me off, and i did not pursue it,
silly me, it is a really nice game, the graphics are nice and the feel
and flow is good, and even the controls are good, similar to the sierra
kyrandia, etc. with more interacitivty on the screen....
