Us americans that don't get it took alot of songs that used to be used as jokes on us and made them popular. Don't think this one will do that, more likely to piss us off as intended LOL

Also, as long as the U.S. is pestering India with money, I don't think it will be surpassed either. It may not have as much population, but still...
Why doesn't China buy Africa? Hmmm... this could be a job for the EU, no? Stopping China from owning the biggest non-frozen space in the world?

I don't think its a lack of money issue, more like a lack of desire. Africa has a big population too, and if it had money...

There is an EU space program, the ESA.
They've got a spaceport in French Guiana and other places aswell.
Don't you remember? The entire affair where they tried to outpreform the US with Beagle 2 and ended up losing the damn thing in space.

What would they do, if they had money?

Africa is very unstable region, with low level of education, large size of land that is unusable, very bad climate, unfortunately very high population growth rate, also very high percent of people infected with aids…

Large number of Chinese migrated to Bosnia in past couple years.

Africa has a lot of minerals in it that could be used to make big bucks. As I said in an earlier post, Water and Solar power coming from Africa could produce power for several other countries, and if they had money they would most certainly be able to cut down on the lack of education and aids there. The aids spread like plague there because they have no means of even trying to isolate it.

Surely a noble goal like this would make Africa useful to the rest of the planet?

this is supposed to be about the EU, not africa. Anyway, if China did take over anywhere in Africa, George Bush would use it as an excuse to invade and steal the precious gold and platinum (among many other things). Then he would have the lot, Oil, Gold, Silver and Platinum. Meanwhile, the Eu would try and do things the democratic way (shock horror George, a big word, which means letting the people have a say!! Dun, Dun Duuuur), by having vote and passing a resolution. Except our Tony, who would have to follow George as he was busy licking George's backside as the war erupted. :ranting:
Oh yes, and i forgot about the ESA, and I meant a space program that was actually any good. I say we merge it with the russians and see what we get. It is a good way to get Putin involved with the EU and out of trouble.
