Default Dark Sun [WIP - red_avatar]

It's been a long time since I've played Dark Sun, but I remember having fun when I did. The second one in particular was good (although I understand it had a major bug).

If anyone remembers the Pool of Radiance games, I believe this had the same developer, but Dark Sun was more of a cross between Pool of Radiance and Baldur's Gate.

Hehe, Dark Sun's fun Ever tried Al Qadim: The Genie's Curse? It's by SSI too and uses more or less the same system, but to me, is way more fun, although it's more linear than both Dark Suns.

Nope, I had never heard of Al Qadim. But I just checked out a review and it does look very similar. Hopefully that one will make it on here soon, if it qualifies as Abandonware.

It does? Then I'll see if I can find it, but I don't really have time to write reviews If I did, there'd be alot more games up already If I find it, will you write a review then?

Found it and am testing it now (after noticing that The Black Cauldron's zipfile was corrupted and I had to redownload it from a different source, I'm checking everything up twice), along with the copy protection codes.

Edit: Tested and uploaded.

Whoa! I'm not asking anyone to write a review, and I don't know if this game qualifies as Abandonware (no idea how to validate that). If it does, then I'll check it out once it becomes available.

I don't think Al Qadim and Dark Sun - Shattered Lands are abandonware yet.

you can get both DS1 and DS2 at this site www.darksunworld.com k:

On a side note it's in the works to make a new dark sun online game. I downloaded the alpha and it's looking pretty good.

BTW This Site absolutly rocks. Every favorite game of mine from the past is here. Thanks a ton :w00t:

You can also get the Dark Sun games and Al-Qadim from http://www.cdaccess.com/html/quick/ad&dmastpr.htm

(Might be a good idea to remove the Al-Qadim download from the main site..)

Yes yes I knew someone was going to say something about cdaccess. The site I mentioned has the same deal as the space quest site where you can get the space quest games or it's something similiar because they have been running strong for over 2 years now. But if I blundered by putting the website on the board I apologize in advance and buy everyone a round of brews
