Default The ImagiNation Network (INN)

Seeing as no-one's created a thread here on Melee Island for the ImagiNation Network (INN), I've decided to do so. Now, before you can play on INN, you'll need to do one of two things:
  1. Download and run the Sierra Help Pages' INN installer.
  2. Download the 'clean' INN files from Abandonia and follow the instructions under the "How to Play the Game" section of Abadonia's INN page.
Once you've performed either of the above methods, you can play on INN!

(For discussion purposes, my time zone is GMT -05:00)

Saw your video and loved it! If you'd like, I can join you in your next recorded playthrough of INN. That way, you'll actually have someone who knows what you're doing and is there to show what it's like having another person to play with/against! If you're interested, please post the times you'd be available to record a playthrough. Remember, my time zone is EST (Eastern Standard Time), which is at GMT -05:00 .

We've heard that the revival server may hiccup if too many people connect at once. We haven't tested it ourselves, and have no idea how many people would that be. Don't worry about it, but if you do experience it, just limit the size of your group for the next session.

I've logged in a couple times, and looked around, but there was only one other person on once, that I could tell.

I wonder, does anyone think it will be possible for the developers of the revival to add sections to INN? Like new games and new chat areas, message boards?

Let's hope more people start dropping by when we get to post it on our Twitter and Facebook. Those admins are currently on holidays. :P Though I would prefer having a small amount of new people get to know the game and to play it regularly in the future, than a big number of people playing it for a day and then forgetting about it.

I do not think so. They haven't changed the game itself a bit, they just provide a server that emulates what the old one did, and not all of it.

The most important stuff is the games of course. Stuff like the bulletin board and in-game mail doesn't seem to work. They would require storage on the server side, and nowadays they can be substituted by modern, much more convenient e-mail etcetera.

Oh by the way, you just see people if they're in the same place as you.

The most popular location by and large is the RPG, there are constantly a couple of people over there on average, according to what I've seen so far. You can see them on the Tavern inside the medieval game world.

Due to the way the chat works in the game, being a little slow to use and such they more than likely use other chat programs. Also being a world wide game at the moment there is no guarantee that the people speak English or any other language. My advice give people a hello, but don't bug them unless they talk back.
